Reading through various threads and discussions on wheels i now feel that the wheels on my z may not be standard as they are only 17", can anyone tell me if this is a standard fitment to a 2.5se or have they been swapped. Ifeel like the small guy in a porno now. :x

some cars came with 17" so they could be standard - cant really tell without some more clues...

You could have a browse here to see if can spot them: Wheel site?

Dunno if this helps

Thanks, feel a bit better now. bad enuff havin a 2.5 never mind small wheels as well, will prob change when finances are improved

I purposely went down from 18 to 17
from runflat to non-runflat
Now the ride is very good, particularly over potholes, compared to the jaw jarring previous experience
I think that bigger wheels look great, but for me comfort is key
18s non runflat is probably similar, but I like rubber and air
Is that a porn reference?...

Your wheels were not standard on a 2.5 of that vintage they where a £500ish cost upgrade, I know because I specced them when I bought my Z, the 2.5 came with 16" wheels as standard, I can't remeber which ones though.

Standard on a 2004 2.5i SE were 16" 104's
You're 103's were standard on the next model up the 3.0i, so you already had upgrades to top of the range standards

I actually quite like the 103 style ones - and been looking for some genuine ones to replace my 108's in winter....I nearly got some 104's in Jan before i realised they wouldnt clear the front calipers :headbang:

Does the 3.0Si have different calipers to the 3.0i?

I ask because I've got a 3.0i prefacelift and I've got a set of 16" 104's awaiting winter tyres. They most certainly DO fit over the calipers on my 3.0i - does that mean the 3.0Si has different/bigger brakes?

Sorry for thread hijack Nosa! I love the 103's, don't sell them. Or, if you do, sell them to me soon before I by myself some 16" winter tyres lol.

Yes - the 3.0Si has larger caliper and rotors than the prefacelift 3.0i hence the popular mod to anything prefacelift and fit the E46 330 rotors, calipers and carriers.

Of course you then need a min of 17" rims to fit
