hi all,
currently have 17" alloys on my 3 litre z4 with the bridgestone runflats...cannot afford to upgrade to 18" at the moment so looking to replace the bridgestone potenzas with something else before all my fillings drop out...they are such a hard ride.
any ideas both runflats and non runflats...prefer runflats but with a softer ride.
struggling to find a good choice in 17"...dont think they do the michelin ps2 in 17"
:headbang: :headbang:

Don't know about runflats but like a lot of people I went for the Falken 452's on my 17's @ £75 a corner fitted, why do want runflats? I'm about to scupper myself but I've been driving 25 years never had a puncture, I just bought one of the Continental Mobility Kits off ebay for £25 for if the worst happens.
they definately take the edge off the harshness of the ride.

yes heard a lot of good things about the falken 452's noticed you have the same alloys as myself do you have 225/45/17 all round or have you gone for a wider set of rears.

Yeah, I'm just running the stock tyre sizes all round, have to add though that I've not seen anyone get close to price This gut can do them for, even Blackcircles are closer to £90 a tyre.

As I said in earlier thread PS 2s non RF did it for me. Bit of guesswork invoved and a bit of luck cos once there bought and on its GAME OVER !

Hi

Just to confirm...

Are you suggesting changing to Flaken non-runflats on these rims or will replacement rime be required too?

A

hi,
no will have to keep the 17" rims...was wondering if there are better alternative run flat tyres for the 17" rims or should i just go for falken 452s

The non run flats go on your existing rims, dont even think about it go for the Falkens, no tramlining, not so harsh ride, quieter, cheaper  need I say more.
