So yesterday I went and picked these up from a member of anouther forum,

They are BBS RK's
Fronts are BBS RK 003 8.5J x 17" ET17 5x120
Rears are BBS RK 005 10J x17" ET28 5x120

They were an absolute bargain aswell with 4 almost brand new tyres on and have recently been refrubed too

and as a bonus I no longer have RFT's

Here they are fitted:

They are a very nice looking wheel.
I would be a bit cautious about lowering with those offsets.
What tyre sizes have you got on them?

Is it likly to hit the arch?

Fronts Falken FK452 215/40 x 17" tyres
Rears Falken FK452 245/35 x 17" tyres

I'm not sure if they will rub or not but you have moved the wheels 36mm and 41mm respectively out further than the originals.
Those tyres have also altered the rolling radius on both axles by 5% which will give you an inacurate speedometer reading by 4/5 mph

I would expect them to rub with springs only. Some stiffer shocks might help...

You seem good at this

What tyre size is correct? To bring the spedo back in line?

That's because I'm a wheel nut

If you fit 225/45/17s front and 255/40/17s rear they will not only be spot on for the rolling radius ie speedometer but will also fit the wheels better.

Am liking the wheels but is it just me that from looking at the pictures it would seem that they already extend past the wheel arches, so if you put wider rubber on them (which they do need) then that will push them out even further out of line with the wheel arch, so an MOT failure.

I like the wheels, but they really don't fit your car, the rears are a definite MOT fail :(

Hence the name lol

Excellent I will get home of that size fitted then

Thanks for your advice

Hmm

They sit in line with the arch

The current tyre sizes won't cause specific problems as long as you are mindful of the speedometer misreading and the lack of rim protection. I wouldn't throw away new tyres unless the stretched look offends you.

Thanks

I wasn't planning on throwing them away until they were worn

I use a gps speed camera locator that tells you speed anyway so that's ok

I haven't done the calculations but I expect your speedo will slightly over read now anyway, so you should be safe
