16" VS 18" - weight a problem for 2.0?

Hey

I was wondering if anyone here with a 2.0 engine upgraded from 16" to 18" wheels ... is the added weight significant since the engine has only 150hp?

Thanks

sorry about the double post, my browser is messing with me... :headbang:
Sorted

Suppose it depends on what wheels you go for, I think unless you went for some particularly heavy wheels then it wouldn't make too much difference, one of the original BMW wheels perhaps? Or go lightweight like OZ Ultraleggera or something like that, or maybe some dark or black 17s which are less obvious.

Don't think the added weight would be much of an issue, provided that you don't go for mega heavy rims....

Keep to the right profile of tyres, that should be top priority

My 16" wheels weigh about 18 lbs, the 18" original BMW wheels weigh about 27.5 lbs. The overall car weight is not important, as someone suggested before, rather than the impact of adding 10 lbs directly to the assembly that gives the car its traction.
