135I calipers & Z4M rotors on a 3.0I success!!!!!

A word of caution though to anyone thinking of doing this. The 135i calliper is not BMW strongest brake calliper.. There have been reports of tracked cars destroying their calliper pistons. They can be upgraded to better ones though relatively easily and i also don't think that normally driven cars or even cars that do the occasional B-road blast will have anything to worry about. And also remember that these have been optimised for a completely different car, i.e. a different brake master cylinder, front/rear bias and total weight. Again, shouldn't worry most drivers but something to keep in mind for people who track their cars a lot.
I might not do this mod myself, although it'd be really tempting but i still think it's a very interesting and cool modification.

Hey thanks everybody ! I plan to do a full right up here soon, I'm in the process to convert te rears as well.
The piston fiasco on the calipers that were breaking was later found out to be ill installed brake pads causing the failures, and that was right from the owners mouth. Otherwise as far as a street driven car which this is I wanted to make it look better with the 19" wheels and to help fill in the gap as it where and 4000 dollar BBK wouldn't justify. The upgraded pistons do exists however that exceeds BMW specs and if you track the car I'd do it just because, but either way for the cost of this kit made it a perfect choice for looks and performance. I finished it up just as I was leaving the state to go visit family for the holidays so I'll report back with my findings. But I don't see any ill affects, on my cooper s I went from the stock brake setup to a giant 4 piston Brembo gt kit and the brakes work flawlessly. So I don't think brake bias or feel will change that much. Most brakes work up front more than the rears so their is a maximum size you can go to improve braking without screwing up bias but once you go over that the ABS will freak out all the time.
I'll report back soon after I get back tithe state.

UPDATE: so had the ZED power bled, with ATE racing blue brake fluid that i had sitting in the garage from the MINI, and then took it for a test drive.
Let me just say that the Z4 brakes even in "I" form where fantastic now their out of this world, she stopes on a dime and is super responsive, pedal feel is greatly improved and feels better than before. im thinking with the lighter N52 engine than the S64 or M54 the Z4M rotors coupled with the 135I calipers make the braking that much better... it feels it stops better than my MINI cooper S with the brembo GT kit on it.....
stopping fast from 60 mph is straigt and true and no ill affects felt.
No ABS triggered or loss of traction from rotors locking up felt either.
i had to reajust slow stoping however as the new brakes grab a lot better than before so less pedal pressure is needed.
all in all as far as daily driving is concerned its a win win! if i ever see a track ill post more but so far im sold.

What calliper carriers were used in the conversion ? Can you show pics how they have been modified etc ?
