Don't think driving it is the point in doing it TBH. Advertising BootMod is the name of the game IMO.
Don't let Peter (B21) see it, he will be on the blower to his tuners and dusting off his wallet again!
I assume 'on the blower' was a pun?
Well to answer all those that banally asked 'whats the 0-60 time?' this morning, in addition to our normal 3rd gear datalog on the new V15 tune which backed of ignition timing a bit as 99 Shell wasn't good enough I decided to use my dragy (GPS data logger) and let it rip just once from a mild US drag strip style rolling start..( i metre roll to ease the strain on clutches and gearboxes)
I'd switched off as best as I could all traction control..about 1 seond after pressing the go pedal I had executed a 270 degree turn.
That's with warmed up 275 wide SC 7s and a Quaife LSD..
After packing some toilet tissue in my underwear I had a second go with traction control on and stability control on..
You can see on the right a 3rd gear stamp the pedal roll on and to the left the same in first gear..Mr BMW didn't like it..
Green is pedal position, and the top light colour is RPM,,lower light colour is what the ECU decided to ask for boost wise, the brown is what was delivered..the shift into 5th happens at 118 mph..
To the OP post...
I participate in a US tech forum where these guys are going up past 1,000 bhp on a frequent basis....
Quite why they don't fit a solid fuel rocket motor is beyond me..it would be easier and more cost effective.
On reflection my decision to 'limit' myself to 'just' 500 bhp seems very wise..
