Hi All,
I have found a nice 2011 35i with only 40k on it and fully specced, only asking £13k!
Anyhow, the colour is not one of my favourites, a bit 'baboon arse-ish' so if I buy it I am thinking about getting it wrapped.
Anyone had any experience of this in regard to a full vehicle, not just the roof?

How does a wrap cope with washing and polishing, strikes me that as it is plastic it must scuff and mark easily?

Hi, try asking Beedub about vinyl wrap durability as he applies it for a living :?

I had my 35is wrapped in 3M Fiery Orange, so I can offer some perspective.

I had a full vehicle wrap applied, including door sills for around £1400 if I remember correctly. The wrap did not mark easily, and seemed easy to clean, I hand washed it regularly though. It is possible to pressure wash, but 3M reccomends pressure washing at a 90 degree angle, and not higher than a certain pressure etc, otherwise the wrap could tear / peel. In the end I just decided to hand wash it each time.

Wraps do protect the paint underneath, but be aware that if any marks / paint has been touched in underneath incorrectly, it will likely just rip off when the wrap is taken off.

Avoid parking in the sun to minimise fade, and I don't think you can wax / polish wraps from what I read.

Hi , as smartbear says ,have a chat with beedub
It’s what he does , as well as every other detailing aspect.
He is most helpful

When I had my roof done I was told you can wax or polish it, infact I have done both on mine to help protect it. If it was to get scratched then I was also told that you can machine cut it back too like you do paint.
