108s

I recently changed the wheels that my z4 came with to 108 split rims, staggered at the rear.

In the last few days I’ve noticed that the ride has become harsh, when I hit any bumps it’s quite aggressively hits them.

I thought that maybe the wheels came with run flats, the tyres on it are Avon zv7’a and couldn’t see any makeking staying run flats etc

This issue might not be the and it’s an expensive decision to change them if there is another issue? Has anyone suggestions on why there might be such a hard ride. Please note that I’ve had no issues with the ride up until recently and understand the hard ride of these cars and quite like it usually

and they are commonly worse on the rear? the garage has said which do I want to try first? as I don't think my finances this month will let me get all 4 corners done.

Would you recommend B4 Bilstein's with standard springs?

Thanks

OEM Sachs are fine and not expensive if you get them with a good discount on Autodoc.

They are also not a leary blue and yellow colour, which is great if you prefer the OEM look.

Daniel, you're doing it again! Keep all the discussion in one thread so we have a chance of remembering what we already told you.
In this case I have answered on the more recent thread, basically repeating what I originally said on this one, backed up by Zedebee.

Yes I see that now... perhaps we should merge these two threads together...

But yes, going from a cushy 225/45/17 rear to a stiff 255/35/18 rear will have a noticeable impact on ride quality...
