Had all my 108'd replace in March 2009 due to corrosion, then back in April noticed my rears had corroded alone the weight line (not the usual place). Took it to BMW expecting the worstbeing out of warranty by 4 months, but they replace as a good will gesture.
Washing the car a month after picking up from having rears replaced removed all wheels to cleand and wax and of course noticed the fronts were starting to go very slightly in the split.
Contacted dealer who inspected a couple of weeks ago, but the tech said stone damage which I wouldnt except. Had to take back today as regional engineer was due in.
Anyway bottom line is they are going to replace these under good will as well.
I dont think they will change them again though, and I did say this morning if they changed them now I wouldnt claim again.
Question is do I run a bead if silicone around them, I think it has to be worth a try I know AlanJ has done it and think CJ is going to try so I will give it a go.
