108's refurbed - again

So after 2 tough winters the 108's needed a refurb.
Went with my buddy in Lichfield to help as he's the best by far.
This time it's powder coated inners in black. Polished lips are powder coated mirror chrome - very neat as it looks like chrome but won't corrode.
Stars are a lighter shade of flash chrome to be different.

Few shots during build up and on the zed this evening.

Oh - yes the roof is up as I'd been running, car locked and iPhone to hand for gps tracking before you lot start..

Looks good. My 108s are in transit and look similar to your old style set :)

Thanks for the comments guys. Sort of fancied different if going to all the effort. The evening sun makes them look more mirrored and lighter than they.

One minor point I forgot to add is black balancing weights were used, so they are near invisible on black inners. Neat touch I thought..

I'll get some better than quick iPhone shots in due course.

Looks very nice.

So ... have you banned Mrs CJ from driving now? :poke:

Had my rims done exactly the same way in AUDI titanium outer, Porsche grey inner 3 months back... Best visual improvement of the toy by far

Very nice, just live up the road from you and looking into having mine done. Where about in Lichfield and price please

Look good but not sure about the black inners.

I've had OEM diamond cut, silver paint and mirror polished and this is by far the best. Just seems to provide the right backdrop for the stars, big disks and red calipers, but that's just an opinion.

MarcusP - 1st class alloys, Lichfield. Near Trent Valley station. Price would have to be negotiated as I do a fair bit of work myself such as stripping down and rebuilding, leaving rims to do when convenient and am a regular/friend :)

I like that a lot

I've always said 108s need the polished/mirror finish on the outer lip: that's what defines the wheel. IMO normal powdercoating silver doesn't look right on the lips. I think I've have kept my 108s instead of swapping to 202's if I'd thought about a chrome powdercoat for the lip...

Hi CJ, is this a company in Lichfield or a buddy? :-) Love the mirror chrome it looks like polished chrome a perfect compromise. I am looking to have 5 wheels done outer lips painted mirror chrome and the stars including the inside rim the usual BMW stock silver. What kind of price am I looking at? Would be great to have the 108's back on this summer :-)

Thanks
