hi guys

just bought a Z and 108s refurb is a must asap - can anyone tell me how much they paid for all 4.

im based in tamworth/leicester/notts/derby area ive been qouted 120 a wheel by a loacal company and £40 a wheel by a company who where based between london/bham area and he said he was inc polish/dimaond cutting!!

anyone had any bad rufurbs they were not happy with?

Tamworth is rapidly becoming a bustling hub of Z4 activity!

I had my winter wheels refurbished and powder coated by these guys The Wheel Specialist

They're not cheap but they did a great job. They also quoted me £100 per wheel to split and powder coat the 108s - with the stars being a different colour. I haven't been back to have the 108s done yet. Maybe over the winter when I have the winter wheels on.

Try looking for a thread by Leon-in-uk in Z4 related items for sale think this might help with the 108's
Sorry dont know how to post a link

I had mine done at a local company (who had no experience of split rims or two tone) for £280 for 4

However I had to split/re-assemble the rims myself and as you can see they are powder coated not polished.

Picture taken when wheels were dirty!

They said that there was a lot of work involved and if they did another set would charge closer to £100 each so got myself a bargain.

Two weeks later I caught a curb whilst parking at our local supermarket :headbang:

Back in next week to have a touch up......

Leon_in_UK stays near there.... he did all 4 for £530, and gave me £200 back for my old 108s....

Edit - linky http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=28652

You could try PM, I'm sure he does wheels regularly

I got quoted £290 for a full split, acid dip and powder coat by speedy's wheels.

Had seen some of their previous work and seemed good quality.

In the end i didnt get it done though... And have done them myself... They are only winter wheels and Total cost for paint and sanding tools for the drill is under £70.

I've used this franchise as well (Leeds branch) and they did an excellent job on my wifes 3 series (powder coating).

They quoted about the same as HC for a set of 108s (and you can get 10% discount for being a BMW club member :) ). Lots on here, as others have said, about 108 refurbishment.

Always wary of the £30 per wheel guys - you get what you pay for :P

ive been looking for a refub too. after a good browse people cant seem to give enough praise to Rimfurbish. Theyre based in West Brom and it seems they are second to none in terms of quality.

They say their process takes about a week but a few people have said theyve had to wait a few weeks. Worth the wait though so im told, and they can supply spare wheels while they do the work

I paid £260 ish for all four (I split the wheels and reassembled) picked up and dropped back to my door by Premier in Manchester.

My local tyre fitter said he's rarely been so nervous refitting tyres due to the immaculate finish

And I haven't even put them back on yet, and winter's coming

You'd think so but I've only actually spotted 2 others from here.

I bought my second set of wheels from LEON_IN_UK. Nice chap and as said he does do a part exchange on them if thats what you want.
