108s 18 wheels ride

Hi guys

Ive got 108s on my 04' Z4, I had 17's and I changed them for 18's and they look great. I know I compromise ride quality on it to some degree.

However, I found after a few weeks the ride became harsher and the car also bounced after I hit a bump etc.

I've just had it in the garage for an inspection and he said the rear dampers haven't perished but said they were old and may not be performing as good as new ones but couldn't say for definite.

Last resort I could put 17s on it again but after spending nearly £1000.00 in total getting my 108s sorted then it would be a shame to go back to 17's

Is there any type of springs I can change them for or anything I can do to the ride to make it more bearable over UK roads?

Any tips or experiences would be great of what people have tried and succeeded with

Thanks in advance

Springs won't make any great difference as long as they are not broken.
If the dampers are over 50k then it's time for new ones. If you have the ability and tools to do it yourself then you are looking at OEM replacement for around £450 total for the parts for all four corners. Add springs to that (Suplex are a good choice) then you're up around £600 for everything, based on Autodoc with a decent discount day.
My recommendation would be:-
Front: Sachs dampers, Lemforder or Sachs top mounts, Febi Bilstein/Sachs bump stops (different sizes depending on standard or sport suspension) and genuine BMW knuckle bolts.
Rear: Sachs dampers, Lemforder or Sachs top mounts, Febi Bilstein/Sachs bump stops (different sizes depending on standard or sport suspension).
