108 refurb

My 108's are looking a bit worse for ware, especially the inner part of the wheel.

What should the finish on these be, from the factory? The central spider is silver painted but the actual wheel looks like its matt alloy with lacquer on?

Any thoughts on two tone'ing these on a carbon black car? (black spiders and polished alloy rim?)

The wheels are ORIGINAL. The wheels were a Warranty replacement item, that were purchased from another forum member.

At the moment I have RESERVED them for a Forum Member until the beginning of April, but if he does not purchase them, then the Sale of the BMW 108 Wheels/Tyre Package (Goodyear Assymetric 2 tyres with 6 mm tread) is back on.

Do it :) ive had a good few sets of 108,s done with mirror silver rim & black star ( matt & gloss )
They always look great as the titanium bolt head shows up against the black star

Here's a pic of a set i had a while back with matt black centre on gloss outer

Lookin' good!

The rim looks slightly matt (as standard i think), do you reckon highly polished would look better or too bling?

Not sure whether to do the centre spiders in gloss carbon black to match the bodywork exactly or just straight gloss black.

1st quote I got was £720... so not something to jump into!

Actually, just had look through the 'for sale' section and mint 108's come up for £400! So looking to buy a nice set instead!

I've just bought a 2.2 Z4 04 plate with kerbed 108's, edges of the rims are polished and could be cut back, the inner rims are perfect even the spokes on the outside are not bad for 13 year old wheels, undecided what to do as I like the wheels and the non-RFT Bridgestones seem to suit the drive good ride and grip etc.

I live in the South Derbyshire area, I wouldn't wish to split the rims as to be right on most wheels it calls for a change of the very expensive bolts but as I say above it may well be possible to skim the rims, does anyone know of somewhere in my area?
