108 refurb or csl reps?

IvanDobskey - remember the CSL's look good stationary, though 108's look fab both stationary & at speed due to their thin spokes & two tone combo... see pic below

Has anyone mentioned CSL reps 19"? :P

What difference does it make to your handling ?
Car handles a lot better with the 18" on,with 19" you feel every Pebble & the car tramlines nearly as bad as the rft 's ! When hitting any road markings I felt the car was unsafe. This is my opinion. I want to drive the car rather than look at it. For me the car is set up far better with 18's. :driving:

Bad_Pritt, your Z is looking really fine on 19 inch csl's

Wish I was due another bonus :P

I bought my reps second hand for 600 euro with 4 new tyres included... Had to buy 2 new tyres though as they were too small on the rears. So I was settled for about 850 euro. But it took me a while to spot them...

Thats great  You must be one of the very few people that have not suffered tramlining on a zed or your roads must be perfect. Think you will find almost everbody running rft`s have this problem. Even after changing my tyres to non-rft`s i still suffer some tramling now & again depending on road conditions.

I have never run RFT's on a Z either so that maybe the reason..

Perhaps when you change to non RFT's and have a hunter alignment on your car,you need to have it set up to "M" suspension ?

My cars have all had Hunter alignment, and the road where i live are shocking......

If the car is set up correctly, wheels are correct ET and tyres are in good order then really there is no reason for the car to tramline.Unless of course there is some other underlying problem ..

For me those CSLs are too 'busy' looking - too many spokes. Remind me of Mk2 Golf GTi wheels from the 80s.

They detract from rather than complement the car's sweeping curves. Multispoke wheels suit the more boxey angular harsher styling of the M3 but the cat like curves of the Zed deserve better and that means fewer spokes. I like the ellipsoids and 108s on a Zed and most other wheels don't come close imho.

I do like those wheels on Jonny f**king Essex's Zed though. What are they off? I've seen them on a black Zed before a while ago and thought they looked good on that too.

Think I'm going for these on MR, lots of rave reviews on M3cutters:

Yep,

What do you mean about the caps and badges?

You do get them with the wheels BUT you have to ask for them..

I've got the same dilemma myself. I haven't decided yet whether or not to go with spacers or CSL reps. What did you go with and what spacer size? Someone has recommended to me before 15mm in the front and 18mm in the rear.
