108 refurb or csl reps?

My 108's are really starting to get tatty :( Cost of refurb is about the same as a set of csl reps, so wondering which to do. How do csl reps look on a Maldives roadster?

Unless youre going for 19" CSL reps with concave rears, I'd get the 108s re done

108s are, IMO, the best rims for a roadster. But I have to admit a set of 19" CSLs would look good

Don't tempt me with 19 inchers guys

I'd need to buy new tyres and get the car lowered. Don't think my wallet would take that sort of hammering

Wasn't that long ago I bought a new set of good years at a cost of around 600 quid.

+1 on this. Yet to see a set of wheels on a roadster that look better than 108's.

Ultimatley, if you're going to shell out- you may aswell go the whole hog & get what you want, that said the 108's are lovely (when left std!) & would by my second choice had i not bought a car with CSL's.

I've gone for 19 inch CSL's and kept the 108's for winter tyres.

Can you switch your tyres over to the rep set ? if so then its a swift & relatively painfree way to give your Z a fresh look without caning the wallet
Especially if you sell the 108's on

CSL reps do look good on a Z. 108's are a pain in the arse to keep nice, so I'd get them refurbed over a period of time and use them for winter. Apologies to your heavily bruised bank account.

I was hoping that using my almost new set of good years would be possible on a set of csl reps?

I could be wrong though
If you get the right width wheels then tyres should switch no problem

Think about 18" CSL`s ! if it`s down to replacing the tyres as well. i would think about replacing the rims only. I fitted 19" CSL rims & tyres on mine & car handled like a dog  Managed to exchange them for 18" CSL`s with the same non Rrft`s & the car drives far better with 18" on. They may look better in 19" but i can tell you they dont work as well.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I have fitted 19" CSL's on all of my Z's and the handling has never been compromised.. Yes its firmer with the smaller sidewall, but thats it.

Perhaps your bought the incorrect ET or your car needs an alignment check.?

OP...

Get 19" CSL's with tyres and then sell your 108's....Will cut the outlay down and your car will look better ..........win,win!!

No correct offset & car had been hunter aligned. It`s the same with my 335,it drives far better with 18" wheels on.

There is a cheap set of csl's on m3 cutters right now. £1k but will accept offers if you can collect by the weekend.

Nothing to do with me, I was just on there looking for a local set of m3 rims.
