Had the alloys powder coated a couple of weeks ago. There was quite a bit of pitting in the alloy which the refurb company spent time correcting. They do look good on the car. Also cleaned up and repainted the calipers and hubs. Have applied a wheel sealer to the wheels and calipers (wheel seal and shine by panet polish as recommended on detailing world) so will see how this bears up over the next couple of months. Centre caps were carbon fibre effect from ebay. All in all well pleased

Nice Alloys and I couldn't help noticing what looked like nice clean brake calipers and wheel hub. I need to get mine done - can i ask how you did them please?

Cheers,

Broomst

caliper refurb done with the calipers still connected to the car. Combination of wire brush on grinder and drill with nooks and crannies done with a dremel. Good solvent clean using a toothbrush the 2 coats of handpainted silver smoothrite. Will be interesting to see how it lasts..many other posts reckon smoothrite is a good way to go.

Thanks for the comments Number 5....wheels fully refurbed, tyres refitted and wheels balanced for under £200...I did call in a favour though for this price. Usual cost is £250 ish for all 4 wheels from memory. Phoenix alloys based in Bristol was the company used. As with all these things its how well the refurb holds up so will see in the fullness of time. Meanwhile just enjoying
