#107 Ellipsoid Wheels

Good morning everyone! I've just joined the forum as you look like a very knowledgeable and friendly bunch of people. I've got a 2004 2.2 Z4.

I've not had my Z4 long, but noticed that three of my wheels have got a very small polished lip on them, and one of them hasn't. So I'm guessing it's been changed at some point. The other difference between them is that three of them has a number "8" stamped on the centre by the bolt holes and the other one has the number "15" stamped in the same place.

Can anyone explain this for me please? Are they the same wheel of different ages? The odd one is definitely not a #202 as it doesn't have the raised bits by the bolt holes.

Are there the correct stagged fitment larger on the rear smaller on the front.

Eg you have 3 rears or 3 fronts , check the trye sizes or it may be a aftermarket replica.

If not may be like you say ones a latter wheel thats been reurbed.

They are the correct tyre sizes. I'm fairly sure the odd one is a bmw item as it has the number stamped on it and I've seen the same number stamped on 108's.

Can anyone confirm if the 107's should have a polished lip or not? Maybe it was an early Z4 thing?
 
I'll endeavour to get some pictures. It's not so much a polished lip, as about 3-4mm of polished metal that sits slightly lower than the rest of the wheel, where the tyre meets the wheel.
