Can any helpful soul please let me know if these will fit a 3.0si coupe?

I was confident that they would, but just seen on http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw_alloy_wheels/z4_e85_alloys/17_bmw_103_wheel_62 it says "Not suitable for 3.0si" - Why would this be?

I though that 17" would fit.

Cheers,
John

Can't see any reason why they shouldn't - I thought the 3.0i SE version came with 17's as standard. And I was under the impression both the Si and SE facelift Z4's had the same brakes. But I've got a pre-facelift so could be - and frequently am - wrong...

My z is an 05 3.0 se which they came off so can't see why they wouldn't fit 3.0 si ?

I got the 18" Vredesteins for my X5, not bad at £140 each though.

Mind for whoever buys them that they are directional tyres.

Posted this on your other thread bluebatmobile - I used these exact wheels on my 3.0 Si roadster over winter. There isn't much space between the front wheel and the brakes, but I had no issues

Would you notice a difference only having 225 wide on the rear? I thought the 3.0si had a wider wheel on the back?

Looks a bit different, but not badly - the BMW recommended wheel sizes for winter use are 17", 225s all round. So no complaints from insurance companies

You also get better traction in icy / snowy conditions because you have a smaller footprint with the same mass of vehicle, so more weight per square inch on the road. I had a bag of sand icy boot all winter too :D

Sars, being an engineer, explained this much more elegantly than I just have, but I can't find the thread right now - busy

Ah I get you. Same mass smaller serface area = more pressure exerted on the snow.
If I remember rightly from school

Yup, that's it. And I didn't have icy sand in the boot, obviously... Bloody iPad
