is there anything a 2.5i 2003 z4 needs at a 100k mile ? anything that needs to be replaced or flushed or whatever ?

Was in a dealer today, they've just taken in an 2.0i E85 with 192k miles on it! So most things are probably fine for a while yet :o

Sorry I can't be of any help on what to suggest service wise, probably copy the 50k, cambelt/chain replacement..... oh and definitely a good hoon :driving:

I did a celebratory youtube donut at 50k, & video'd the odo. I might do 3 when I get to 100k :D

Good work  :driving:

Er, am i being thick? I thought the whole point of a cam chain was that you avoided cam belt replacements...best i check my service schedule.... (3.0i)

My understanding too - chain = no need to replace.

3.0 E46s regularly top 200k.

I really don't see the 100k mark as anything to worry about. Unless its 100k on a track

i was not showing off my mileage :| ....i wanted to know if the car needs a schedule maintenance due soon. i dont have the book manual for the car.

They should create a card for this special occasion... like a silver wedding anniversary card!

May you have a 100k more!

Chains will need replacing at some point... In my experience of *cough* vauxhall *cough* engines, then 100k was about right, in certain cases it was advisable to do it sooner. Chains stretch and wear, as do the guides and tensioners. I do not know enough about the 3.0 engine to comment though, if people are getting 200k without touching the chain then all is well! :D

Is that the same engine as the Z4 3.0is ( I'm thinking about HVA's)

Nope they had M54 engines without the HVA issues :)

Edit - 6 series use the N52 3.0si engine. I've seen a few with well over 100k on the clock
