1 Year on....

I've seen some remarkably good ones, but as said, it's never been quite the same as dropping it off down the bodyshop, picking it up 2 days later looking fresh as fudge.

smart repairs arent meant to be 100% we all know that. That said, I've had cars go into bodyshops before and come out with finishes that arent 100%. The bumper wasnt 100% before the incident. It had some chips and marks on the fang that are now gone, so its already better than it was previously , assuming the finish is good of course! If i think it looks crap in a few weeks time i'll get it re-sprayed, but based on the recommendations i'd had, i thought i'd try it first!

The damage was so minor it didnt seem worth the effort of the body shop, when such a localised repair can be done. I'm currently working on PXing it and my other car for a GT-R anyway, so it won't be too much of an issue if the deal comes off :)

PX on a GT-R... hope u offer it up to the Forum (Bing) for the PX price, as then u might be able to squeeze Nissan for that little bit more... all the best

yeah, ive decided the 2 car thing doesnt work for me, i'm better off having a single decent car. As for the repair, i am as sceptical as you lot seem to be about smart repairs. However he came recommended by a mate who is into his detailing and had some work done on his car about a year ago, and you just cant see it at all. if it looks decent i will leave it, if it doesnt, i will get it redone.... only time will tell...

Sorry, I must have missed the post where Bing offers to put down a holding deposit and go gets his new wheels.

Perhaps I should sneak in and buy this one too. Share the mileage across the pair of them. Winter car, summer car. Hmm...

And definitely one spare to sell me when the time comes
