1 Year on....

So almost a year on since i bought the MR and I'm thinking about letting it go..... i've only found the time for 1420 miles in 11 months, which is nowhere near what i had planned. Hardly worth the road tax money at todays rate. shame as i love the car, but life just gets in the way and the times i do have free, i seem to need more room for stuff and people than the Z affords. I'm taking it to Cornwall in August and will decide what i'm doing with it at end of the month, but i can't see me keeping it to be honest unless the misses talks me out of it.

So if your thinking about an Imola Red MR with what will probably be about 14800 miles or so on it by then..... watch this space, although i do have a gentlemen's agreement with the original owner for first choice on it......

Looking forward to taking it to Cornwall though if the weather holds..... :driving:

Hmm, mine must be coming up for a year soon too, no thoughts of getting rid of it yet though :-)

Andi.

Forget the plan, you have the money. :poke:

I do, but I don't - and you are well aware of that, so stop waving temptation in my path you naughty chap :telloff:

I'll have a chat with Jonny if/when the time comes - bearing in mind Kev has first dibs - if (and that's a very big 'if') things were to pan out quickly and then I sold my car for reasonably decent money, perhaps the plan could be advanced without beggaring myself. Can you hear my rusty Man Maths gears moving ?

Seems an ideal car. Just do it Bing :)

Doubt you'll find such a low mileage beauty in a year or so. Waiting could be a lost opportunity ;)

Go on Bing...this is too good a car to miss, especially 2nd time round.....very few that have been looked after so well by their 1st owner from new, and with such low mileage, etc. and the fact you know its been well looked after in the past year too by johnnymiller.....plus you are not that far away from your 18month "plan" by now surely?

someone would be lucky to get Bing's car too.. maybe you guys could swap, then a few thousand miles a year maybe easier to stomach without the M-tax!

You are correct. And I know already that this is one of those cars that you could buy with confidence without even having seen it... Not that I would of course

It'll be end of August before Jonny starts doing proper thinking, which may well work out ok timing wise, but I don't want to jinx anything so let's just all calm down.

Can I have second dibs after Kev though Jonny ?

... Bing, speechless at this one & August would fit in with your plans.

Fingers cross 4 u

This is possibly the only other "IMmie" moment out there. The way I'm piling on miles having fun it's going to be lower mileage within a few months too...

My turn after you lot did it to me... Dooooo Ittttt

I've PM'd Kev to ask him the conceptual question, so will know if he is potentially interested before the end of August which is when i plan to decide what I'm going to do with it. I'm not 100% sure i am selling it, but while I can't see me getting the use out of it that I had planned. Having to service, tax and insure it and then leaving it in the garage and going about the rest of my life doesnt feel terribly rewarding.... :) The problem is, every time i drive it (which has been to work and back every day this week), i love the thing, doesnt change the fact that i dont have enough time for it i suppose.... :) im sat looking at it now out of the office window..... it is pretty epic even if i say so myself.

Of course, i could just keep it another few years at this rate of mileage and see what its worth at 10 years old.....

Hmmm, minor setback this week, but all is not lost mate

Stuart, Woots - behave !

Jonny, if you decide to sell then give me a shout - I won't mess you about dithering as I will either be able to afford it, or I won't. Just registering my interest... Not that its necessary to do so lol. If I were you I'd keep it, as long as I could afford the outlay on it :D

Think of all that aural pleasure, or was it oral pleasure you asked me for?
