1 M Coupe Official Details

It seems suspiciously cheap at under £40K, a lot less than a 35is Z4. The price brings it down towards top end hot hatch prices. Great looking car and at that price looks to be great value. I can see this being the performance car to have next year. I just hope it drives as well as it looks. Want one!

£40,000 :( will have to wait 3 or4 years and buy a white one for £18-20,000  I think it looks the part but is it a true M car as BMW have just dropped the engine out out of the Z4 ( I think)

That colour =

Lots of power
Great performance
Relatively small size
Reasonable weight (still a bit heavy)
RWD

...but I still don't fully like it. Something's wrong with me... Actually, I just can't like those looks - not sure what it is but it just doesn't look right. But imagine those mechanicals in the 3-dr or 5-dr body and the styling a bit toned down...

I quite like it (not in that colour) ............... but considering 40 k would buy this ....

I know which I'd rather have in the garage

I really like it too. Shame about the poor 3 colours to choose from though.

I'm on the test drive list too - last time I did that I ended with with a brand spanking new MC! It's either genius or madness, time will tell!

£40k was the price of a base E46 M3 with roughly the same power 6 years ago, so sounds spot on to me. I'm also on the test drive list, looks like a really cool package to me

I do like that car. A lot. Look forward to seeing what the forumers think... hopefully it will be more of a drivers car than the E92, a little more E46 :driving:

I think this car is going to rock but it has some serious competition from the second hand market at that price...if they offered carbon black well...I may have to get one

I'm registered for info updates.
Looks quick at sub 5 secs to 60 and should move very nicely :)
Looks a bit steep at £40k base price though

Looks like they may offer a CSL style decal kit for it!

Really? It's £13,000 cheaper than an M3 V8 and £400 cheaper than the E46 M3 was, in base spec, nearly ten years ago. Despite that, it's got similar power (335 v 348) and is quicker. It's slightly smaller, but that seems an ok price to me. I'm eagerly awaiting a test drive, as long as it doesn't look too cutesy in the metal this car could be a real winner....
