1 Litre Oil Top ups

Bought a litre of oil today from stealer as in the past, asked for LL04 as I knew the car ran on this, although the assistant asked what car it was for.

Anyway he handed over the oil in the pouch with funnel etc. (£14.95)

Never got this before, just the oil

Anybody any ideas why I got it this time, belive me I'm not complaining.
 
I got it twice already, for different cars. Quite handy in fact, you can stick it in your trunk and always have the oil available. Probably some kind of commercial stunt from BMW or Castrol, but it has been available for a year where I live.
 
Think maybe it could be depending on which car you have will depend on whether or not you get one? Call them and ask, just out of curiosity.

They did not add extra $ to the bill, so I guess we are all paying for it then. :)
 
... and here I was bitching at my dealer about spending $9.50/l of Castrol TWS 10W60...

You guys are getting fleeced!
 
You can always get it with and without the case. I only bought once with the case for £12, and without for £10.

Afraid you got the more expensive package ... however, it does not matter if it is your first purchase. Next time you just want the oil though ...

If you need oil under the warranty and free scheduled maintenance period the stealership will add it for free.

Rick; don't complain about the TWS my friend - Here in the Great White Ripp-Off zone it lists for $18.99...

Pretty soon, you'll be coming down here and buying it as our dollar wanes in strength. That'll be great, all the Canadians coming down to do their shopping and helping to improve our economy!
 
Not sure if I paid extra or not, bottles on the counter not displayed in a pack were priced the same £14.95

I bought 2 on different occasions, never got anything other than the oil. Is £14.95 not really dear for a litre, I think I paid a tenner? Suppose in the general scheme of running costs it doesn't really matter.
 
Yep - without the case it is a tenner, with the case and funnel it is 14.95 ... At my dealer, they are side by side with the different prices
 
I wanted the pack so I'm not unhappy, they cost more on ebay, but I will ask for without in future.
The oil has always cost me more than a tenner usually around £12.50 from memory.
