1/4 miles times in a Z4

Iirc I got a 13.97 @ 98mph or there abouts at Pod. I wouldn't beat that I don't think as my 60' time was almost 2sec dead. Thats from an 3.0i which was stock apart from FK-452 tyres.

How has your Mini done?

Its not a 1/4 mile car tbh and the 2 degrees of negative camber really don't help it off the line!
 
I'm also not bothered about 0-62 or 1/4miles to be honest. It's not like i ever managed to get cleanly off the line for a decent time. In fact i cant even remember the last time i tried a standing start anywhere.

I'll take mountain runs, twisty roads and heel-toeing instead. :)
 
I'm planning to go down the stip in my 3.0si coupe on sun at the BMW show at santa pod.
So i'll let you know what I get.
 
I might take a run down the local strip one day in my E89. with launch control and 385hp it should be somewhere in the 120mph range and low 13's, maybe 12 if i'm lucky.
but i'm in no rush at the moment.... :tumbleweed: :rofl:
someone on here must have run a new on down a strip ????
 
I'd say you should be looking at mid 13s - 14s.

I can't remember what time this was but here's a video at Santa Pod a while ago.

I did 14.1 at 101 mph in my Z4M Coupe but have read that I could probably do at least 1 sec better.

Personally, if I'd have wanted a ragtop for 1/4 mile times I'd have bought a Caterham 7 Superlight R500, though i bought my Z for everything but this.
