Looking for a 1/12 scale Kyosho E85 roadster to admire while the real one is cossetted under wraps in the garage for the winter!

Ideally in Sterling Grey, and doesn't have to be in mint condition.

I don't know of a 1/12 scale grey/silver one (only seen blue & red), only 1/18 scale ones that were sold by both BMW dealers (80430144059 in plain black box) & Kyosho (in illustrated box).

Thanks for the info. Most of the 1/12 scale ones that come up on on eBay seem to be silver, but at silly prices as they tend to be collectors items in mint condition. Like the car itself, I'm looking for one that will be appreciated rather than kept in a box, so I don't mind a few scratches/imperfections. Mind you, my E85 fitted that definition itself until recently, as in the 17 years with its previous owner it had only covered 4200 miles. I put another 1600 on it over the summer, and I have several tours planned for next summer - so it's going to get used as it should from now on!

I've always loved the shape of the E85, and a large scale model I can stare it will help keep the winter withdrawal symtoms at bay. I have a used 1/18 scale Maisto model in Sterling Grey that I was lucky enough to pick up for less than £20, so that will have to do for now! :)

Cheers,

Alan

The prices for the dealer-only models are terrible (although these were about £80 when they came out)...but even a new model from Kyosho (their new resin range) is £200.

I even had trouble sourcing a Z4MC from BMW and ended up buying the Kyosho-boxed one over the BMW-boxed version.

I'd get a blue or red one and get beedub to wrap it :P

I have a dealer version which was identical to my first E85, Toledo Blue with cream leather and cream roof. Not for sale but they are lovely :D

I have one also, mrs hutch bought it for me 4 years before I’d even considered a Z4. Mine is silver though with daisies. Would love an ///M but they don’t exist. :(

But your 1:1 replica is a garage ornament anyway? :poke:

I have a 1/32 scale Kinsmart (great name!) black Coupe and a 1/32 scale Burago blue MC. It's easier to find somewhere to put the smaller ones!
