07 2.0SE - Fault Codes 2A70 and 2A88

Hi,

Just about to take my parents Z4 off their hands, which is cool.

Good points - gun metal grey, 27k miles, pretty much immaculate.

Bad points -
Low miles not necessarily good for a car and it's been sat in Yorkshire coast weather for a good while and not moved.

Hood is slow to go up and down, so that will need doing.

More importantly, it's got two fault codes that I think could be big issues or simple sensor errors. Would really appreciate the forums help, before I get it into a local garage.
Oh, I'm in Peterborough, so about to make a decision to drive it down or put it on a trailer...

Codes are...
2A70 Vanos
2A88 valvetronic

Any advice or experience on what the two codes are likely to be?


Hopefully get things sorted while the sun is still out....

What did you use to read the codes? those codes could mean a few different things

Hi,
It was plug thingamy code reader that someone had bought.

2A88 Vanos exhaust flange adapter

2A70 Valvetronic measured value implausible


No idea what either specifically mean but I've looked at vanos and valvetronic on here and Google.

if you knew someone with the inpa software would probably give you more specific info
