With great regret I am putting my BMW Z4M Roadster up for sale.

This is the second one I have owned and both have been fantastic to own. We had a baby daughter six months ago and it is a necessity to replace this with something with four seats.

2006 on a 06 with just 59,500 on the clock and 3 previous owners. It is Interlagos Blue with Black Nappa Leather. It has a full BMW main dealer service history with the exception of one service carried out by an independent. In addition it had a pre purchase inspection carried out prior to myself purchasing it and has had the extended warranty on the car until earlier this year so has wanted for nothing. Premium tyres all round.

It took me a long time to find the right car and eventually found this one which was typically in Scotland (I Live on the South Coast…..) which had the spec and more importantly was really good condition as well as having the all important 1200 mile running in service. It had just been serviced and had new tyres fitted. It also had a full 4 wheel laser alignment in February (makes a massive difference to Z4M’s) and a wheel bearing replaced.

In addition to the standard options, it also has the following upgrades:

Sat Nav
Bluetooth
Heated Seats
Xenon Lights
Auto Lights
Auto Wipers
Parking Sensors
Logic 7 Hifi (the top of the range one with 10 speakers+amp)
Multi-function Steering wheel
DSP Sound System
Electric Folding Mirrors
Carbon Fibre Trim
Interlagos Blue
Black Nappa Leather
Embossed ‘M’ Headrests
Auto Climate Control
Electric Memory seats
Remote Folding Roof

Service History:

1200 mile Running In Service 1181 01/09/2006 Synter BMW
Oil Service 10895 10/05/2007 Synter BMW
Inspection I 22063 14/03/2008 Synter BMW
Oil Service 33197 29/09/2009 Harry Fairbairn BMW
Inspection II 44478 19/04/2011 BMW Independent
Oil Service 56242 11/10/2012 Harry Fairbairn BMW
Pre Purchase Inspection 58025 30/01/2013 Harry Fairbairn BMW

The car is in great condition inside and out with the exception of a couple of stone chips which is to be expected. It is also taxed and MOT’d as expected. I am using the car daily so mileage will increase.

£13,450 ONO

I am open to a part exchange – ideally a 6 series convertible but would consider other cars so long as interesting to own and baby suitable so please don’t tempt me with yet another Lotus Elise as SWMBO will kill me!

No canvassers or people wanting me to send the car to the deepest depths of Africa please.

Part exchange

Maybe - ideally 6 series convertible

How did you manage to convince the OH that it was fine to have this when she was 7.5 months pregnant by the way! (I think this maths is right)

Believe it or not she persuaded me!!! Definitely a keeper :D

We thought we would be ok with one usable car and one toy but the reality is somewhat different. I love the car and it has the ability to cheer me up no end on the work commute as a lot of it is B roads but it leaves me unable to pick the little one up from the grandparents on my way home from work if she has been left there on the odd occasion so trying to find something that will still be furnish to drive, allow me to get the roof down and fit the buggy in etc. erring towards a 6 series cab at the moment.

Hi Liam

I live between Ringwood and Verwood so lots of good roads around through Cranborne and Wimborne to commute on!

Hi there,

A couple of questions if I may:

1. Which indie did the Inspection 2?
2. Can you advise on what dates it had its brake fluid changes and tyre inflator checks?

Thanks.

Good evening Big T

The specialist was called BMW Independent car co based in Glasgow. The brake fluid was changed at the same time which was at 44k.

There is photos of the service book included in the Ad on pistonheads.

I have found what I think is the next car - a 650 so need to get the M sold so have reduced it and open to offers if it can be completed within the next 2 weeks otherwise it will have to be part exd.

Timing slightly out for me I fear. Shame, looks a lively example in great spec. I took a lengthy detour around Cranbourne etc on the way back from Lulworth earlier to avoid Poole/Bournemouth and the A31 generally. You're spoilt out there for roads!!!!

I certainly can't complain and there is a part of me that hopes it doesn't sell till the autumn so I get a bit longer using it. As far as commutes go, it's one of the more enjoyable ones I've had!

If you want to have a look round one and passenger ride if you haven't before then feel free to contact me even if you are aren't in a position to buy if helps get your knowledge up for when you are ready
