06 3.0si Coupe 19" Wheel Requirements

Hi guys,

Looking to replace the wheels with 19's.

It seems the tyre option of choice is 235/35x19 and 265/30x19.

Can someone please advise what wheel offsets I should be looking for to best fit this tyre size?

8j & 9j are favourable widths for the Si but most aftermarket sets will be 8.5j 9.5j so offsets you should aim for ideally would be between et38/et42 , you can go each way from there a little but as a general rule wouldn't go below et34 .
235 35 19 is favourite for fronts , rears can be 265 30 19 though many including myself would run 255 35 19 .

As a side note, is there a consensus on wheel diameter? 19s vs 18s?

I'm guessing 18s give an easier ride with more tyre height possible, but are tyre options limited etc?

Both my 3.0Sis had 18s, but I never bought any tyres for either of them!

Although I can't see tyre options for 18s being any more limited than for 19s, and 18s will certainly be cheaper. :wink:
 
I prefer the 18’s, give a bit more comfort with the higher profile than what you need on the 19,s to keep a similar rolling radius. Just waiting on a set of Apex wheels to arrive using 235 x 40 x 18 front and 255 x 35 x 18 on 8.5 front and 9.5 on rear.
 
I agree about the softer ride with 18’s but I think visually 19’s definitely suit the coupe better

Shoot these are nice. What wheels are these?? Does the silver one in the back have the same color wheels?

I believe both sets are just standard hyper silver. The stratus ZC is Atomic CSL’s (£600) whereas the silver ZMC is on genuine CSLs and about £1k dearer a set

(The foreground car is the same car as in the lower picture. Stratus just changes in different lights )
