04' E85 Transmission problem - P0741 code

My 04' E85 is having a transmission problemm and throwing P0741 code, which denotes an issues with the Torque Converter Lockup Solenoid... the biggest symptom I have is sluggish shifting, and when coming to a stop the engine almost stalls, like maybe the lockup is stuck on? I havent been able to find the lock up solenoid specifically referenced in realoem.com, was looking for some guidance if that was the issue or need to consider replacing gthe tranny... any help appreciated...

Thanks firebobby....I had seen that blog as well... it does shift up, but when I slow down coming to a stop it almost or does stall the engine, as if the torque converter is still locked maybe? I watch a youtube video of some one changing/checking the lockup solenoid, but they didnt reference what vehicle it was on! I see 3 solenoids/switches internally on realoem, was wondering if should replace those?
 
Have you tried taking apart the electrical connectors and spraying them with a suitable cleaner.
 
I have not... I have 230K miles on my Z4, so not too surprised if something is wearing out... will take a look at the electrical connections...

Yeah, if you read that thread, it tells you to check the connectors :thumbsup:
