04 E 85 Sports Mode Suprize

New to the Z world so when it wouldn't go into Sports Mode I dove into the forums. It looks as if a common theme was a broken wire under the shifter boot. Well here's what I found

So I rewired the plugs

And spliced everything together color coding the 8 chewed wires.

When reassembled, key off, the indicator on the console is on (light for "P" position).
It eventually went off (unless a fuse blew), is this normal for the indicator to be on after interior lights dimmed?
It didn't get to try it out, pouring rain.
And what the hell is going on with mice and my wiring?
 
Bmw’s Take a while to fully shutdown, once the P light goes out the car is effectively now shutdown.

Thanks Stuart. Still getting to know my way around it.
So far I replaced and relocated the top motor to the trunk, rebuilt the Disa, cleaned out the ICV and rewired the comm system(because of chew through). But for the life of me I cannot figure out why so many wire harnesses have been chewed to utter destruction! Must be a tasty wire wrap and they can't get enough.

Wow, that's an impressive list of jobs already! I hope you get to put some miles on it too. :driving:
 
It hit 70 here today so I developed anal glaucoma. Just couldn't see my ass going to work. Spent the day driving instead.
