The service engine soon and EML lights are on. Starter is working, battery is fine but the damn thing won’t start? Is there anyway to clear EML and service engine soon?

Try your other key. Codes can only be erased with a proper code reader but will need to be read first before you do anything. If you provide your location someone may be nearby to help with a scanner. Try using some Easy Start from Toolstation. If it fires up, then there is a fuel delivery problem.

Are you certain the battery is 'fine' ? Were the service and EML lights on prior ? Fuel pump ? Fuel pump relay ? How much fuel in the tank ? :?

Was the car parked pointing upward or downward on the hill?

What have you done to try and start it?

Also, what are the codes that are causing the CEL?
Since you can't take it anywhere to get them read, you can use one of these cheap readers from Amazon

Thank you for all the replies! I rolled the car to more level ground still won’t start. The car was parked facing uphill. I tried disconnecting the battery for 15-20mins trying to reset ELM light but did nothing. Just tried starting it a bunch of times. Not sure but I think the ELM came on after trying to start so many times. I have a cheap bluetooth obd2 reader. Can’t clear code. Can that cheap amazon one clear EML?

Where are you?
As already suggested, maybe someone can help?
Reset of the EML may not help but without codes it’s hard to see what the problem may be.

As others have said, you don't want to clear the code. You want to "Read" the code. I think you are under the impression the code is keeping your car from starting, when what it is really doing is telling you why it won't start. Use your cheap ELM reader to find out what the code is and post it on the board.

I already ordered a Foxwell BMW scanner. Will be here tomorrow. Hoping it’s something small like crank position sensor
