Hello all, I just recently picked up my 03 Z4 2.5i with a little over 120k on her.
I have saved this poor gem from the previous idiot, I mean owner.
At some point she was repainted by the world's crappiest paint team. The worst panel being the left rear quarter panel, where you can actually see the sanding marks... From when they dry-sanded the primer.
As if the crappy paint job wasn't enough, it also had looked like it had been cleaned with a scotchbrite pad, the swirls were/are atrocious on her.
I've detailed a large portion of the car to fix the worst panels, but it still has quite a bit to be done; that's a separate post though.
As for my plans... Since my neighbors b*tched to the BID and DEP about me painting cars, I will be vinyl wrapping her.
I'm going between a few different options currently, ranging from a carbon wrap to a chrome wrap... Waiting on samples before I decide.
The whole interior will reflect whatever color I choose for the wrap, but definitely NOT going to be tan/beige.
And since I know the community loves pictures (I mean, who doesn't?), I'll contribute with my little photoshoot I did today.
