There was a valve in the kit. Its a black thing with 3 pipe connectors on it? Is that the valve?
 
That's the one, you should have a vacuum inside your engine though, if it's not there you will get running issues
 
Ok. Im at the car now. Iv had it running and there IS vacume when i remove the oil cap. If i attemp to put the oil cap back on you can feel a slight vacume pulling it on if.that makes sense.

What i have noticed is the engine not revving freely or hesitant dissapesrs whwn the cap is removed. ..so in theory if i drove it with no oil cap on it would be much better
 
Just to add..The vacume pulling the cap back on is only very slight.. iv stripped all the inlet off today again and double checked everything. Put it all back together and had a smoke test done and theres no leaks at all.

The fuel pressure check was 2.5 bar and the needle was flickering as in unsteady, could this be a fuel filter problem or injector fault etc?
