Hi all
Had a code of 02c46 on my new sensor on Carly
But this morning put on my snap on and through obd2 it’s now more information with p1050
The question is could anyone please tell me where the main o2 sensor loom go’s when it meets the car in the ecu
I want to trace the wiring to check for damage corrosion etc

I am not sure about the location of the associated wiring, hopefully another member can help you with that.

I think you mentioned that the car does a lot of short journeys in your other thread about this same issue. I had O2 related codes appearing for a couple of weeks after I purchased my zed (It had been idling and short test drives for months at the trader). My wallet felt very sorry for itself at that point, I thought I had purchased a money pit.
All the car needed was a tank of fresh fuel run through it and a few spirited drives.

I did replace both pre-cat O2 sensors eventually, they get tired and slow to respond after around 100k. There are some good deals to be had on genuine Bosch replacements so don't be too quick to purchase from a dealer or similar. I replaced both of mine with brand new Bosch parts for around £50.
If you are local to me you are welcome to borrow the two working sensors I removed to rule out dodgy sensors on your car.

Checking over the wiring is a good idea. Monitoring the live data from the sensors should give you a fair idea of wether the wiring is intact.
Just be aware that the code might just clear itself after some longer drive cycles.
 
As many are aware, emissions related errors are unfortunately very common on the 2.0l. It doesn't seem to affect things in practice apart from the pesky dash light (which is of course now an MOT failure).

It is worth checking for cracking on the manifold as this is also very common and could well be associated with the codes being thrown
 
hi thanks for the reply’s
news is thought i would just check over the recent fitting of my new sensor
got under the car pulled the connection apart and it wasn’t clicked in fully
i think the reason being i’d used dielectric grease
and it acted like a cushion
anyway cleaned it all out with contact spray and it went together wit a firm click this time
took the car out and the light never came on
so i’m keeping my fingers crossed

Hope that pesky light stays out.
It can come back from time to time. Normally just reminding you to give it some beans and blow the cobwebs out!
