So I've resisted the temptation for a long time but ultimately I just had to do it.
Using the iPhone and Dynolicious I did a quick timed run from a standing start to 60mph. Road was damp and I didn't really push too hard (clutch preservation firmly in mind). 60mph comes up before you hit 3rd though I didn't bounce it off the red line (I've killed engines before - it's not an experience I wish to replicate). Tyres would have been fairly cold, air temp about 10 degrees Celcius. Slight uphill section of road (private, naturally) and I actually had TC turned on fully.
Result was 6.6 seconds 0-60 against the books time of 5.9 (totally standard 3.0, including the runflats and suspension).
Fully convinced the Z is capable of 5.9 seconds or less, as per the book
