    Automatic non-start, shift position sensor?

Popped over to a mate's earlier who has a 2.5 Z4 automatic which was a non-crank. With ignition on and selector in P I noticed the reverse light was on so clearly the car thinks it is in R hence the non-crank. After a few movements of the shifter whilst monitoring the position via my Autel it...

    Camping Powerbanks...

I'v been asked by a friend of the Mrs if I can do some digging into a powerbank for her campervan. Thing is I don't know anything about them so unless I do a shed load of reading I am not much use. She has sent a list of brands like Jackerry, Bluetti and Eco Flow and has a budget of up to £800...

Finally happy with my exhaust : MoT update

After not getting on with the backbox I did have on I decided to try something different. I had both secondary cats removed and an X-pipe welded in their place, followed by the standard backbox. It's a little bit different than bog standard, a really nice sound and the cats gone are certainly...

    Stainless steel backbox

I bought this last year. On idle and full chat it sounds divine, just a little bit bassy for me though. Fits great and looks great too with the 3" tail pipes Will supply two Mikalor clamps Removed from my 2005 3.0i £145 posted

    Cat removal / X-pipe

So trying to think what would be a compromise for a half decent exhaust note.... Standard system is too quiet Backbox delete is too noisy Currently have a custom stainless steel back box that sounds great on idle and full throttle but has a drone around 2k which isn't bad but a bit annoying...

First 'breakdown' since I bought it...

...fortunately happened in the drive  I'd move the Zed out of my workshop so I could do a DMF a clutch on a 1 series and when that was done I tried to start the Zed. Just a loud click from the starter and nothing else. Gave it a whack with hammer and it started to crank but then gave up...

Just wondering if there's anything desirable / useful etc that's been made for the US Z4 market but not ours? My sis lives in the US but is popping over next month and always makes sure there's space in her luggage for my requests

    Warning lights after car wash

I got my lad to give the Zed a quick wash before I used it for work, just a hose and soft brush as per normal. Five minutes into my drive to work these lights popped on I think I read somewhere they could be DSC related? My Autel scanner is in my daily so won't be able to read anything till...
