Could be a number of things. Material change, new staff, Friday afternoon builds…Whatever the reason, it’s certainly a black mark against them and if I was doing it all again today then it might very well be enough to put me off that airbox.maybe it was the supplier issue?
I think to be fair, the issue with the alpha-n map is a very old and was resolved by them a long time ago. I've had a carbon airbox and map since 2017 and it has been flawless. It was terrible.
I heard they tried to do an alpha-n map for the z4M, but users couldn't heal and toe because the map wouldn't allow throttle and brake application togetherjokers
Who is this guy from eventuri you are talking about? As far as I was aware eventuri was just spun off the evolve name to sell those cone filters with carbon around them? The first picture above was from ~2020, so long after eventuri was created.

Anyway, look, I'm not here to piss on anyone's chips, least of all Beanie. I didn't think anyone on here had one of theirs, so for that I apologise.
Interesting, I didn’t know that!Perhaps it's telling they no longer sell their own one, but rather Karbonius'.
I don't have experience but in the roadster top down the intake is very good soundwise. Power wise I have it from the horses mouth there is only about 5hp in it over the intake.Still no one with experience of this?
I’m tempted but wonder if it’s better value for money to just get the intake?
Absolute bobbins - how on earth could it? The tone of the sound is a function of the volume and resonant frequency of the chamber - the volume of the sound is purely a function of the aperture. Most of the sound comes from the carbon material, is not just the filter.
Pal, I had two Karbonius airboxes at the same time, the CSL replica, and the OE styleversion to retain the MAF, as well as the plastic stock one. I tested the Karbs back to back and the OE style one, with the stock filter box and a KN panel filter sounded very different and louder than the stock plenum. I will put the the clip so you can hear for yourselfAbsolute bobbins - how on earth could it? Granted the sound may be different but it will not be louder than an oe airbox with an eventuri bunged on it, and for a bloody thousand quid more than a proper carbon airbox I see absolutely no reason to bother unless you're absolutely desperate to keep the maf, and support evolve as they desperately try to catchup with trs in making a dct work for the v10 m5 on oe management....
