Transmission Fluid Leak at Mechatronics electrical connector

My 2007 3.0SI E86 coupe with the 6HP19 auto transmission has a leak coming from the electrical connector on the Mechatronics. I have the ZF transmission service kit and the new Mechatronics connector sealing sleeve.

Getting under the car, there looks to be next to no space to get to the electrical connector, yet alone replace the sealing sleeve.

What have people done to make the job easier and get access?
 
you have to remove the oil pan and there is an unlock lever you have to pull to release and pull out to replace the sleeve. Since you are already there, replace bridge seal as well.

you have to remove the bracket that connects transmission and exhaust, it gives you more space to put your hand on the connector shell and unlock it by turning it anti clockwise.
