He said about a Martin on the south coast sorting an airbag fault, which threw me, as I thought you were Norfolk way. Good to know I'm not going mad and it was the same Martin![]()

Think I need to get braver with the temp.ThanksHeat gun low setting, circular motions, slow and steady, just let it build up heat gradually takes a solid 5-10 mins. Don't get too close or you'll burn it. Once it hits 100'C the leather tightens up and pulls out creases and sag. Once it's done, let it cool, then Repeat as they'll come back ever so.slight. once it's cooled, add some leather conditioner to keep the leather soft but tight.

Interesting! Are you running a 12v pump for it then, rather than using a belt driven one? Very interested to see how this turns out!Electric/Hydraulic steering going in
Yes, running a power steering pump from a Porsche Cup Car......which is also fitted to the Vauxhall ZafiraInteresting! Are you running a 12v pump for it then, rather than using a belt driven one? Very interested to see how this turns out!

Not usually fan of these mods, but this actually looks great!Just fitted a double din Eonon X20 Linux based unit with CarPlay. Makes such a difference. I previously had a cheap single din car play unit in there but it was too small and the touch was pretty naff. The X20 has much better touch response and the larger, brighter screen is much better.
I 3D printed the surround and then wrapped in carbon fibre style wrap. All in all it’s cost me just over £100 for the whole lot and is a big improvement over the standard radio.
I would recommend this for anyone wanting to upgrade the standard head unit. Best part is it’s fully reversible and I could revert it back to standard in about five minutes if I wanted to.
Not my design - I downloaded the fascia from a chap who was kind enough to develop it and upload it for anyone to use. Annoyingly I can't find the thread now but it was within the last year. I paid a company called Surface Scan to 3D print the fascia from the STL file and it cost my £42 delivered. It is made from PETG and is pretty sturdy. I have the STL file if you want to PM me your email and i'll send it over. These will only take a short chassis double din which does limit the options a bit. There is about 11cm space to work with. The Eonon X20 is only 10cm deep so that works well. Steering wheel commands do work with this unit and it also comes with a reversing camera if you feel inclined to fit it. It is literally two screws that holds the surround in place so it you want to swap back to standard it's a dead easy job. I've tucked the original vents and radio away in case I every want to go back to standard. Not usually fan of these mods, but this actually looks great!
Did you design the 3d print file or have you found it somewhere?
Are steering wheel commands working with the unit?
On a side note, if you do burn it, make sure you let it cool, before using colour lock or scratch doctor to repair.Heat gun low setting, circular motions, slow and steady, just let it build up heat gradually takes a solid 5-10 mins. Wow! You've worn it away to invisibility! As today was the first dry day for a few weeks, I hit the car with G3 resin and ceramic coating. Paint needs a lot of TLC.

Where did you install the Ctek connector? In the engine compartment? Or on the battery?Replaced the crush washer on the diff that was leaking slightly and installed a Ctek connector for the battery. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to use it where I store the coupe during winter.
