BimmerLabs RSA delete failed on MSV70 0049PP0L901S - anyone with 901S successfully tune?

2006 E85 Z4 3.0i, manual, US spec. N52 with MSV70 DME. Just installed a 3.0si 3-stage intake manifold with both DISA valves. Planned to flash the BimmerLabs 30i to 30si tune as the next step.

Hardware setup confirmed working. INPA, NCS Expert, Tool32, WinKFP all installed and connected via K+DCAN cable. Successfully registered a new AGM battery using Tool32 (steuern_batterietausch_registrieren) before attempting the flash. New battery, charger on, doors closed, key in position 2, ignition fuse pulled.

Ran the BimmerLabs RSA delete batch file. Got SECURITY_ACCESS_DENIED__SECURITY_ACCESS_REQUESTED and Flash download failed errors. DME unchanged, car still runs (with the manifold mismatch).

Verified DME via INPA F2 Ident:
- Data reference: 0049PP0L 901S 0YC2S
- Hardware reference: 004 9PP0
- Production date: 17.01.2006

BimmerLabs supported DME list only includes 0049PP0L921S for MSV70. My DME is 0049PP0L901S. From what I've read, the RSA exploit is keyed to specific software versions and 921S exploit won't unlock 901S security.

A few questions:

1. Has anyone with a 901S MSV70 successfully done the 30i to 30si conversion? If so, which files / which provider?

2. Is there a way to update the DME software from 901S to 921S via ISTA (dealer flash) so the BimmerLabs files would work? Anyone done this and confirmed the end software version?

3. Any other tuners that specifically support 0049PP0L901S?

Not looking to revert the manifold if avoidable. Car is currently driving but I'd like to get the tune sorted in the next week or two.

I imagine ISTA will do it. Friend plugged his very early E90 into it and it did update every module readily enough, although it took a long while (tho that might have been the equally ancient laptop.)

Don't ask me how to use ISTA to do it or I'll cry.

Once you flash the RSA delete the software will upgrade to 921S. Then you flash the 0da tune that is 921S version. As yours is 2006, DO NOT USE the tune from bimmerlabs, it will give you EML, some of the bit was wrong, different from original.



Use my file, it is the stock correct 3.0si US file moded power class only, I made it and it is perfect, no EML lights.

Dude, just let me remote control your laptop to setup and flash, it will be much easier than typing a lot here and see you try and experience error.

email me [email protected]. Prepare your laptop, install teamviewer or anydesk, KDCAN cable and battery tender connect to your car. Last week I just remote help few guys in Czech upgrade their DME software from N52B25 to N52B30 after engine swap.
 
@ivanchen1211 seems to be the expert on here. I found his threads very helpful when doing a 2.5i to 2.5Si upgrade, but I didn’t have any of your issues.

Ya I've done dozens of E-series with N52 power unlock now. 323, 523, 528, 328...etc
