FRM failure is random but cumulative ..so the chances it will fail increase with every switch on/ battery connect / code session..mine a 2011 failed earlier this year…after many battery disconnects ..but..it happened on initial power up on a routine day..so the simple answer is no..Anything we can do to proactively take advantage of it if we are getting close to the termination of that warranty? Force a firm update, etc.
AFAIK it"s depending on the software version of the FRM.FRM failure is random but cumulative ..so the chances it will fail increase with every switch on/ battery connect / code session..

A call today to the Hurst, TX reimbursement center, yielded agreement from the CSR, who transferred me to the Claims Manager, where I got voicemail, and left an explanatory message,
FRM = body control module…aka supreme commander of almost all lights, some windows and many other items..What is FRM module please?
I just received my $1330 reimbursement check for FRM module. It's been a very long journey. I originally submitted my paperwork 1st week of October. Going to use the money toward my oil pan gasket and water pump replacement.
