Can 4 pot from F series fit under Style 294 wheels

Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying to find clear information about this but haven’t had much luck, so I thought I’d ask here.

Has anyone tried fitting Style 294 wheels over 340 mm discs with 4-piston calipers? I’d really appreciate it if someone could share their experience or confirm what’s needed to make it work.

Thanks in advance for your help, and have a great rest of your day!

No I haven't but would imagine they'll fit...380mm does need 19"

I can't see there being any issues as the m140i comes with 18" wheels as standard.

It shouldn't be a problem. My MC has 340mm front discs and 18" wheels, some limited research suggests the E89 35is has 348mm front discs and some of those had 18" wheels.

I've got 312mm discs with Porsche 4 pot calipers under 16 inch wheels, also 356mm discs with Audi 4 pot calipers under 18 inch wheels.

I think you'll be fine, but you could try to get measurements to be sure.

Appreciate everyone's responses!

My main concern is not so much the disk, but the caliper.

They are the blue calipers, as from the M cars, but with 340mm disks.

I have seen a local guy put style 108 on, and they cleared the brakes, but I'm not sure if it has any spacers. Will try to find their contact and ask.
I suspect almost all standard e89 wheels will not be an issue..if you l;ook at the design although the caliper is much wider a fair chunk is on the other side of the disc

This post on another forum might help, as they've gone to the 370mm kit...

I've got the 370mm 4-pot kit on my F31 335xD...and they fit under my 18" winter wheels...and from reading brake upgrade option on the F2x/F3x forums it seems the only difference between the two S2NHA kits for this car (i.e. 340mm vs 370mm) is the disc...so same mounting point & caliper and pads.

The M2/M3/M4 uses similar caliper for it's 380mm disc, but it's got a different offset for its mounting.

BUT it will depend on offsets/mounting position of the caliper more than solely the disc size, and the specific profile of the wheel you're using (don't know if a split-rim profile takes us more space in the barrel than a single-piece wheel).

My 18" winter sizes/offsets are:
  • 225/45r18 on 8jx18 et38
  • 255/40r18 on 9jx19 et40
My 19" summer 442M sizes/offsets are:
  • 225/40r19 on 8jx19 et36
  • 255/35r19 on 8.5jx19 et47

There are two different 4 pot Brembo calipers..the 340mm and the 370mm/380mm ..the difference is the 370/380 caliper has longer 'ears' to allow the caliper to stand off further ..the pad is the same..swept area fractionally greater as standing further off..AFAIK the 370/380 version does/does not work depending on wheel and disc size..

For sure 380mm and 4 pot didn't work on some of my 18" wheels
