Apparently its to do with 'recession envy'....

But that is the most ridiculous reason I've heard for vandalising a car - I had a Rover Metro 1.1 Quest for six years before I got my Z4 - and I earned it!

You guys are worrying me now! I need to visit people's home in my car everyday, and quite often in rough area as well - boarded up windows and all.......

The only consolation is its a coupe so it'll be quite hard to put a knife through my roof

To be fair I havent had a problem yet but a very nice Audi A4 at my girlfriends had a little trouble and it makes me paranoid as hell taking it around now. I even have a mate that I dare not take to car to incase the locals give it grief. Shocking state of affairs really, but the Chrysler!?! wierd.

Never had any vandalism to my cars in Liverpool, two Z4s and before that an S2000 in bright orange -that car was certainly an attention getter!

Well i had one car keyed right down both sides. It was a calibra, so not sure how anyone would be jealous of that,
