Personally i am leaning more towards Bimmercode but i know many like Carly.

I would go for Protool, for about £120 you have a perpetual licence, plus it programs, codes and diagnostics with excellent support..

I have the Carly before the license model kicked in, they do try to disable it (twice) but they do honour the lifeitime version but you have to contact support each time (obviously just when you want to use it of course it doesn't work again).

No help for new users of course, only those who purchased the unit before the license model.

I have an E85 SI model which I can already remotely raise and lower the roof with the remote, what else can Carly add to the programming?
I have most of the options on the car FYI such as electric memory seats, electric fold wing mirrors, heated seats, etc.

Actually ... just did a google search, and I think my car was Carly coded at some point.

As I say I can remote open close the roof, I also have three indicator flashes on a slight press of the stalk so I think some of the main things have been done, so no need of this for me!

I just coded the headlight washers out, drive away locking and the unlocking on stopping the engine in addition to the roof and indicators that you mentioned.

ProTool doesn't support coding on the E85, amongst other older BMWs.

Just borrow mine as and when you need it , no subscription then :-)
South Yorks

:D I am in Hertfordshire, little bit of a trek. I am leaning towards Bimmercode as its £35 for a lifetime subscription.

Got that as well as Carly. Bimmercode was easier to program a new battery with.
