Jay, it's simple to get the rear section out, but to remove the front half properly you need to remove the heater assembly as a drain from it runs down through the tunnel. You may get away with lifting the heater a bit but not easy.
If it is to dry the carpet out then I'd suggest removing the centre console, then simply lifting the carpet as high as you can to get warm air, towels etc under it.
