A cracking wax

Thought I would spend the afternoon trying out some recently acquired Dodo Juice Bouncer Wax on the M140i

Quite pleased with the results.

Then found a 2cm crack on the mirror base, no idea how its occured as theres no other damage to the mirror and they're always folded when parked, looks like a stress crack, weird and no doubt expensive to replace grrrrr :headbang: :x

Nice show room finish, your car looks lovely Tim. I love DoDo Juice products but have not tried this wax, but the end result looks fantastic

Having loads of fun while getting to know how the car handles Tim. I want to polish and wax mine once the rain showers finally go. I still have a tub of DoDo Juice Rainforest Rub wax to use up first before I can buy anymore wax though.

Nice finish Tim but how come it has chrome window surrounds :? did you spec it that way :?

Thanks Mr Wilks, I had the black gloss exterior on the previous 135 so went all pipe and slippers with the chromeline to match the fineline wood interior this time around, I wasn't sure to be honest but I feel it goes well against estoril, its not really chrome more of a matt aluminium. Its my age

Good to hear :) Tomorrow looks to be drier, I wasn't planning breaking the wax out today but the rain cleared, I may ponder tomorrow fitting the performance spoiler that I've had for three years

Looks sparkling Tim, Great job. I spent many miles stuck to the rear bumper of a M140i the other weekend, on a PH run. Quick for a hot hatch for sure.

Must did out a photo.

Stunning results, was that hand or machine polished Tim ?

Many thanks, it was done by hand, took me around 4 and half hours but included washing and dressing plastics/engine bay. I'm unsure it would be a good idea letting me loose with a machine polisher :o My OCD would have it looking silver in no time

I some ways I wished I hadn't polished yesterday, still slightly annoyed finding the mirror base cracked and can't work out how its happened and thinking its been there all along since new and has got worse over time. Will see what the dealer says, I'm unsure it would crack there if the mirror had been knocked when retracted which it always is when parked, it would have to take a good wack and there's no other damage at all.

I think there is a years warranty on the cars trim.
