Potential Z4 rival again, looks very similar to the existing car apart from the interior.

Agreed - they don't seem to have changed much on the outside - but that's a good thing

Interior looks better too :D

Yep interior looks to be of a much higher quality than before, similar dash and sat-nav system to my beloved Infiniti FX-50 :sweetheart:

Rick Hunter, could you be tempted?

louZ4, I agree, in times when every successor is bloated and overweight it would be nice to see a change. Wonder what the pricing will be like.

While no official price statement has been published rumor has it at around 36K (U.S) for the base and well north of 40K for the well equipped model. A drop top version to follow has been confirmed ( this hearsay according to 350Z forum) and will be in the 50K range.

I love the fender flares on that car! And the front end reminds me of a piranha.

Definitely tempting. But not enough for me to release my M Coupé. 8)

I've heard rumors that pricing will start in the mid $30s (USD) this time around.

Is mid-30s more than last time?

It's growing on me, but I think the engine size will be a big problem here for resale.

The 350Z started off with a base price of $26k USD and went up to $35k for their track model (before options, of course). Nissan ran a ton of ads promoting the 350Z and it's relative inexpense.

$35k+ base price for a 370Z would be about right for this car nowadays. Still relatively inexpensive compared to the competitors, but enough to weed out some buyers.

As far as I know, I don't think they'll be offering this car in diesel... only petrol. I feign to wonder what road tax would be for you guys across the pond. Hopefully Nissan will have worked on the emissions enough to save you some $$ your government demands of you.

Even if the emissions are low enough to miss the top band of road tax, the fuel consumption will be enough to put people off. It's a funny one, because the minimum you'll pay in road tax for a decent car is £200 per year so if you end up paying £400 per year, then it works out at an extra £16.67 per month yet the value of the top band cars has fallen by thousands.

Road tax is nothing compared to financing and depreciation costs.

Nice car :D I'd be interested in a drive of one of those :) hope they can keep the weight down too!

One auto magazine ( I forget which) reported that the 370 Z would be five inch's shorter and three hundred pounds lighter. Horsepower was estimated at 340 or 350. If all of this is true it will make for a potent combination in a sub 40K car.

The current one is a bit too tall geared for my liking, I remember EVO testing it and it would do 100mph in 3rd gear, good for fuel consumption but blunting the performance a lot. Wonder what they'll do with this new one.

I like it.
I narrowed it down to a 350Z or a Z4 when I was looking. I didn't like the interior of the 350Z at the time although it was good to drive (a bit heavy mind). Another thing was that rear brace inside the boot!! Took up nearly all the space!!

That new one could be a contender though!
