    The pistons are different between the 20i and the 28i although compression ratio is the same.

    https://brakeperformance.com/ has rear slotted and drilled for the E89 - I have them on mine.

    N20 recall in the US.

    I just did a quick comparison of part numbers between EU and US spec versions and both the vacuum pump and intake camshaft are shared. It could be that due to different laws in the UK and Europe, BMW has decided not to do the recall there as well which would be very interesting.
