Thanks for reply. I have a 3.0 ltr sdrive E89 Z4. i used another code reader which came up with misfire cylinder 5, so I've had it out and sprayed connections with a cleaner then re seated it, cleared codes then went for a drive and so far fingers crossed all seems fine so panic over...

So last week i did a bit of preventative maintenance so all filters changed as in Air / pollen / oil. Oil change. cleaned Vanos's changed spark plugs and coils for all new ones. car ran super sweet so must of needed it. Today very low on fuel wit car saying 23 miles in tank, i go to fill...

I haven’t, I was just wondering if the aftermarket ones were any good as I’m changing lots of parts while servicing and more of a preventative measure while I’m in the engine bay

Has anyone with a E89 Z4 3.0ltr changed there vanos solenoids and did you do both or just inlet ? Are they both the same part and would you use the non oem ones ?

Has anyone done there’s ? How much did it cost ? I just got quoted £299+ vat for 3.0ltr auto ? Sounds a bit high to me. Thoughts anyone ?

I used the screen on i drive as it allows me to check engine and no faults came up ?

No codes came up that’s what’s strange ?

Was at some lights and floored it away then 200 yards up road yellow engine light on and car was miss firing ? Got to a safe place to stop and switched off. Restarted car and fine ? Would this be coil packs related ?
