    SOLD E85/86 Power Steering Motor

Good luck with the fitting of it. Remember to mark the position of the slip ring to the column before taking the old motor out otherwise you'll have to adjust 5mm x 5mm x 5mm after you re-assemble everything to avoid stiff / sticky steering.

    z4 EPS question!

Hi Laskita - 611c is a Torque Sensor fault and as this is buried deep inside the steering column, I ended up getting a second hand column and EPS motor / ECU when mine failed and refitting the whole thing with huge help from two local Z4 Enthusiasts in South Wales 👏 @Umfaan @colb My post and...

The dreaded EPS issues persist - but so do I

If you type in 'EPS' to the 'Search Forums' at the top of this page, you'll find loads of posts about the same problem you have ( my own issues included from the start of the year) - The symptoms are a classic EPS Motor / ECU failure that ECU Testing can fix if you remove your motor, send it to...

    E85 Steering Column Removal Issues

When @Umfaan helped me remove mine, the same issue to pull the column out of the UJ meant I had to cut off part of the end of my biggest ( longest) flat head screwdriver with an angle grinder so that the 'wedge' of the screwdriver head was already 3-4mm wide before it went into gap you are...

    Alarm going off

@colb has mentioned several times that locking the car manually with the key doesn't set the alarm sensors - worked for me when my alarm kept going off.

    Roof motor sticking

The red ring pull is up under the left hand side of the underside of the section between the boot lid and the adjustable roof storage floor. A cable from that goes around into the motor to release the hydraulics to manually close or open the roof should it be required.

What have you done to your car today?

I was told by people following me on a Zed trip out last weekend that the third light I have fitted in 8 years of ownership is now missing most of its LEDs lighting up - finally worked out how not to cause it to break when fitting, and now will need to remove again anyway:mad:

Thanks for organising good weather and the Spitfire / Mustang bonus - not sure if your were on the long table in the cafe @firebobby but a lovely group of people - good to put a face to Allan -'the roof guy' who is always recommended by @colb for anyone in his Zedshed Cymru whatapp group who...

    AV8 13th June

I'll be there - weather looks good. Anyone else from South Wales coming over? I know @colb is going up to Hampton Ferry, Evesham car show which I'm hoping to head to after the AV8 meet. I had a great time at my first AV8 meet back in March.

    Delaminated Front Screen Bond

A recent discussion on the Zedshed Cymru whatsapp chat was that going through your insurer shouldn't affect your no-claims or premiums. (Admittedly for non Zed cars)- I've previously just gone direct to the repairer eg Autoglass, and they have contacted the insurer registered to the car and I've...

Another EPS / Torque sensor failure- looking for help

I took the whole seat out - and even then it was upside down on my back ( Barry / Umfaam) also on his back as we got to the bolts, cables and plugs holding it all together - bloke in the video must have done loads to know exactly where the 8 bolts and the ECU plugs were located whilst staying...
